REPORT ON COMMUNITY SERVICE HELD AT THE SUHUM KRABOA COALTAR (SKC) ADP OF WORLD VISION-GHANA
FROM THE 27TH TO THE 31ST OF JULY, 2009
‘Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom’.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NIV)
DAY 1 – MON. 27TH JULY
At exactly 12:30 GMT, I arrived at the office of SKC ADP of World Vision-Ghana at Coaltar, a suburb of Suhum in the Eastern Region of Ghana. I was warmly welcomed by Mr. Reginald Darko, the Manager of the SKC ADP. After a few minutes of waiting at his office, arrangements were made for Miss Okyerewah, the Caterer to send me to my room. With her help, I was able to familiarise myself with the compound and other areas and facilities I might need in the course of my one-week stay.
At his office, we had acquaintance with each other. Mr. Darko explained that Mr. Kwabena Adjei-Boateng (the Customer Relations Office) was the one who would be taking me through the vigorous exercises involved in the community service throughout the week. I was then introduced briefly to a few of the staff present and that ended it for the day.
